I had a quiet day today in Voroshilovsky, so I thought I would share with you the view of the Volga river from my balcony.

One of my students told me that Volgograd is 427 years old today!  That may explain the sporadic fireworks I have been hearing from the waterfront.

I’m nibbling on some crisps, I fell asleep after my lessons today and after I woke up it was late, I decided to go find some food but it was after 11pm when I reached the local fast food shop and they were trying to tell me they were closed while I was ordering!  I settled with buying a cold drink from a noodle restaurant.  The evenings are starting to feel cold, I saw steam rising from the drains on the way home.

Here are some more buildings and statues I have seen on my travels.
