That is one big statue.  I had a couple of cancellations today, all my lessons planned out so I decided to stop off at Mamayev Kurgan (hill) on the way to Tractorniy.  This is the memorial park for the people who died in the Battle of Stalingrad, there is an eternal flame housed here under military guard, lots of other sculptures but there is one that stands above them all.  I will let the pictures tell the story.
